Bare essentials during first few weeks home with new baby?
We have been working on our registry. I was trying to think of the most important things in the very beginning. The things we do not get and need, we will spread out purchasing. What are the first month essentials? Add to my list:
car seat
diapers
wipes
clothing
burp cloth
bedding/ sheets

Breast or formula feeding? If breastfeeding you may want lanolin cream for sore nipples, nursing pads for those leaks you are bound to spring, and possibly a breast pump to relieve engorgement. Formula feeding you will of course need bottles, but don’t forget the bottle brush and a microwave steam sterilizer. You may also want a baby swing or bouncer. My one item I couldn’t live without was my pack-n-play with the bassinet attachment. Also found my sound machine that made white noise very helpful in keeping baby asleep.
